About The Role

Our estate of Properties are critical to ensuring we can be ‘at our best’ as foodmakers and shopkeepers. 


As a Property Advisor, Maintenance Performance, Contracts & Costs you will ensure that all service delivery partners and contracts in scope of role, deliver to contractual standard, specification, SLA and KPIs for all locations within remit, and develop strategies to ensure service improvements are delivered in line with changing business requirements.


Ultimately delivering the category strategy set by the Senior Property Manager- Maintenance performance, contracts & costs.


We have a fantastic head office base in Bradford, easily accessible from Leeds and surrounding areas. Boasting a large on site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience store, prayer room, free parking and regular company wide events and promotions.


Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office as whilst there will be some home working, we’d also like you to be available for office days (they’re great for building your network and attending key meetings). 


Our teams benefit from working a ‘4 day week’, this hugely successful change to our working patterns has seen an enhancement in work life balance, we want you to always be ‘at your best’ so your day off will be just that, we know that our teams work hard, so want them to enjoy their 3 days off a week.


There is also a requirement to work 13 Saturdays Feb-Feb, these days are shorter - 6 hours - and are generally used for team meetings, project planning and strategic work.


This is a permanent role which is also available as a job share.


Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive)


  • Engage with stakeholders across the business and act as first point of contact to the broader Morrisons community on contract management issues, ensuring queries/questions are dealt with in a timely manner

  • Build solid relationships with our existing supply chain so that a two-way respectful, trusting rapport is established

  • Maximising asset uptime to ensure customers can buy what they want when they want it

  • Support the Senior Property Manager, Maintenance Contracts Performance & Costs on specific tasks, providing insight from performance reports and KPIs including identifying root cause issues, analysing any trends associated with supplier performance

  • Support the contract management team by identifying underperformance and recommending performance improvement plans where necessary to return standards to the agreed level

  • Flagging any concerns over integrity or maligned behaviours of the supply chain to the contract managers

  • Support the Senior Property Manager - Contracts, Performance and Costs in the development of category executions plans

  • Contract management of the low-value transactional tail suppliers

  • Ensure low-value transactional supply chain annual performance reviews are undertaken in line with the Supplier Relationship Management Framework

  • Review and maintain cost and pricing data, determining database requirements and identifying new data sources appropriate to the function

  • Onboarding of any new suppliers (services and goods) to establish the principles applied to the supplier relationship management framework

  • Supports the introduction of new contracts required.

  • Keep an up to date database of all suppliers start/expiry dates, type of contract, rates etc, proactively share contract end dates with stakeholders and allow for proactive renewals of such agreements ensuring financial stability

  • Provides performance insight to aid the writing and procurement of new contracts, including the creation of robust terms and conditions to manage the supply chain


About You

Requirements


  • A proven track record in supply chain management within the retail industry or in facilities management implementing and operating control/improvement measures and best practice

  • Experience in audit assignments relating to the assessment of contractor work order performance

  • Proven basic experience in contract management preferably in a retail or FM environment

  • Knowledge of service industry issues and with an understanding of how to effectively manage these

  • Knowledge of broad procurement processes and contracts

  • Budget management

  • Clear understanding of lifecycle supplier relationship frameworks

  • Ability to deliver savings against predetermined targets or meet or exceed service level requirements

  • Excellent communications, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail, and talent for accuracy and precision

  • Data analysis – ability to review and draw insights from large quantities of data in various formats

  • Proficient in the use of Oracle and Verisae platforms
