Job description
GP Partner
Kennoway Medical Group
Salary/Banding: TBC or (Current Salary Will Apply)
Hours: 6-8 sessions per week
We are a dynamic practice situated in an NHS building in the heart of Kennoway, Fife. Due to the upcoming retirement of
one of our longstanding partners, we are seeking an enthusiastic 6-8 session doctor to join our friendly team. A start date
during late summer/early autumn is ideal to allow for a smooth period of induction prior to our outgoing partner's
departure at the end of October – however alternative dates will be considered for suitable candidates. The successful
candidate would be eligible to claim a Golden Hello payment (subject to terms and conditions).
We are an EMIS practice with a growing list size of 4,170. We are a strong team of three partners – two GP Partners, and
our Associate Nurse Partner – supported by a team of 12 including a salaried GP, two ScotGEM GPs and our newly
appointed Mental Health Nurse as well as an excellent Nursing, Administration and Reception Team. We also enjoy
support from our extended NHS multidisciplinary team: Pharmacy, First Contact Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Phlebotomy,
Midwifery, Community Nursing and Advanced Nurse Practitioner assistance for our Care Home patients* (this list is not
exhaustive*).
We deliver a nurse led minor ailment service, which includes house calls and deliver clinics such as minor surgery, family
planning, child health and nurse led chronic disease management.
We are one of five practices within the Levenmouth Cluster, of which one of our GP Partners is the Cluster Quality Lead.
We are a training practice offering support to students from St Andrews Medical School and the ScotGEM program
(Scotland’s post graduate entry medical course).
Additional:
· No capital investment required
· Mixed urban/rural population
· All 3 partners work in the OOH service locally and would recommend this if additional income was required
· Special interests encouraged
· 7 weeks annual leave, 1 week study leave
· Time given during working hours for paperwork, encouraging a good work/life balance
This is an exciting opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic candidates, wishing to join a small friendly practice in the
Kingdom of Fife. We are within easy access of Edinburgh, St. Andrews, Dundee, the fishing villages of North East Fife and
Perth - the gateway to the Highlands.
Come to us for a week, and you’ll want to stay forever!
Informal phone enquiries and visits welcome.
Please contact Dr Sharon Mullan, Mr Alister Scott or Ms Laura Haig on 01333 350 241.
