It is hard to imagine that the first Entertainer store only opened back in 1981. Today, The Entertainer is the U.K.’s Largest Independent Toy Retailer. We have over 170 UK stores stretched across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the islands and we are still growing! We are also partnering with a growing number of retailers to show case our brand selling our toys in their retail space.
As a business we own the Early Learning Centre, and Totally Toys brands as well as our own brand Addo Play. Outside of the UK we own the Poly Juguetes toy shops in Spain. We also have numerous Entertainer and Early Learning Centre international franchise partnerships.
As a Sales Assistant at The Entertainer, you will be the key to making it happen, helping us to deliver an amazing shopping experience for our customers. You will have to work hard, but we will offer you fun and comprehensive on the job training and opportunities to develop in your role.
We have two contracts available for Sales Assistants, 20 hours per week and 12 hours per week.

But first, here’s some important details you may want to consider before applying:
If you are applying for a 20-hour Sales Assistant position, you will need to be able to work five 4 hour shifts between Monday and Saturday each week.
If you are applying for a 12-hour Sales Assistant position, you will need to be able to work three 4 hour shifts between Monday and Saturday each week.
Being an integral part of the team, you will need to be flexible with your availability as we will need you to work at different times of the day. This can include hours outside of our normal trading hours, especially at Christmas and in the school holidays. These are some of our busiest times! As a Sales Assistant your key responsibilities will be:

- Cash Handling & Till Operation
- Merchandising & Promotional Setup
- Replenishment & Deliveries
- Looking after your own section
