CE106125 -Clinical Development Fellow - Major Trauma in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

NHS Grampian would like to invite applicants to apply for an exciting opportunity to work as a Clinical Development Fellow in the Major Trauma Centre.  There is one post available with immediate effect within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for a fixed term of 1 year.

The Clinical Developmental Fellowship (CDF) programme is suitable for trainees who have recently completed (Aug '20 or Aug'21) the UK Foundation Programme, Core Surgical Training or Core Medical Training.   

In addition to the clinical component you will be assigned to an area of developmental interest: such as Medical Education and Simulation Training, Quality Improvement, Research and Development, or Leadership and Management. These activities will be supported through a mentorship programme.  

The successful candidate will be contracted for 40 hours per week – 28 hours per week on average undertaking clinical activities; 12 hours per week on average will be protected for developmental activities and there will be an out-of-hours commitment. The post holder will be paid at ST level based on their previous experience.  A banding supplement relevant to the Out of Hours component of their rotas will also be received. 

The post is of high educational value however, this post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training
