Salary Scale £21,709 - £23,603 per annum
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable pharmacy support worker with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our friendly, dedicated pharmacy team for this exciting new rotational post.
This new role has been created to support the work of our Pharmacy team within acute medicine and the pharmacy department to support the provision of pharmacy services to the Acute Medicine Unit.
The post holder will participate in a rotation as part of our clinical, distribution and dispensary pharmacy teams providing a range of dispensing duties, medicines management and supply tasks.
As this is a new position the post holder will undertake appropriate in-house training and competence assessment to support you in any new work area.
You should possess a N/SVQ level 2 Pharmacy Services qualification and a minimum of 3 National 4 qualifications in English, Maths and a Science Subject or equivalent along with significant pharmacy experience. You will also have the knowledge, skills and experience to train, assess competence and supervise new staff in duties associated with your role.
The department has an excellent team of friendly Pharmacy staff committed to service modernisation and to developing the role of pharmacy support staff. We encourage our team to undertake further training and aim to support this as much as possible.
You will be required to participate in departmental rotas for weekend working and public holidays.
