Theatre Staff Nurse/ODP Band 5

All Posts will be based within Inpatient theatres in the  Clyde Sector of NHSGGC


The unit consists of 9 operating theatres, a 12 bed recovery room and cover the anaesthetic service. The unit provides peri operative care for patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures including, Gynaecology, Urology, General Surgery, Breast, Cardiology,  ENT and both elective and trauma Orthopaedics. In addition for 2022 remobilisation of services: Robotic assisted Colorectal surgery.    In addition to having current NMC/HCPC registration applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated and have an interest of working in the peri-operative environment. Previous experience within the peri-operative environment is a definate advantage however not essential as full training will be given. The department offers team support and continuing education opportunities including supported funded access to the safe scrub module.  These posts require PVG Scheme membership /Disclosure Scotland Check.  The successful candidates are required to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service, which runs over a 7 day week, including night shift.  Furthermore, the successful candidates will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in order to achieve the needs of the service.
