The opportunity
Leverage and expand your experience in supply chain innovation and technology to be at the forefront of shaping Industry 4.0 leading practices including integrated planning, network optimisation and supply chain synchronisation. Develop and impart your experience on those you work with to help create the next generation of supply chain leaders.
Develop your leadership and management ability as you work in cross-functional teams across our Consulting, People and Technology practices. Deepen your technical and sector knowledge by working hand in hand with our client leadership and project teams in our public and private sector centres of excellence. Work with cutting-edge technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Internet Of Things (IOT) and Block Chain; as well as supply chain software including OMP, o9, Kinaxis, SAP IBP & S/4 HANA.

Your key responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll balance internal and external responsibilities, comprising client, business development support, operational and people development.

- Build, maintain and strengthen relationships and be a trusted advisor in the area of Supply Chain and Operations
- Be adept at problem-solving with clients and project teams, leveraging your skills to help manage projects to completion
- Develop experience and relationships across several clients over time often as part of a team from different parts of EY’s world, whilst being able to maintain focus on current project delivery
Develop our business
- Contribute to the development of proposals to showcase some of our leading practices
- Engage the market with thought leadership and public profile, and contribute to enhancing our methodologies
- Work across our internal sector and account field of play teams to develop your network, bringing our Supply Chain and Operations expertise to bear
Drive operational excellence
- Support successful delivery of projects and workstreams as forecast to time and budget
- Help ensure the quality of our delivery exceeds client expectations by effectively managing activities and deliverables within your remit

Your experience
Typically, Managers bring practical experience from either a professional services or industry background where you have developed your Supply Chain and Operations as well as management experience.
Your Supply Chain and Operations experience will be valued across several sectors, with a key focus on Consumer Products & Retail, Energy & Resources, Government & Infrastructure, Health & Life Sciences, Private & National and Telecommunication, Media & Entertainment.
Our Managers are required to possess good experience in at least one of the technical skills below and some experience across one or multiple others:
Supply Chain Strategy
Operating Model design, segmentation strategy and inventory optimisation. Understanding the issues across the end to end supply chain, and potential solutions to improve performance.
Supply Chain Transformation
Being part of one or many significant supply chain transformation projects with considerable scope and scale. Demonstrable knowledge of working as part of the transformation including the design, setup and delivery including people, process and technological change.
Digital Supply Chain
Applying or implementing next-generation supply chain technologies such as Robotic Process Automation, cognitive automation and AI, Internet-of-Things (IOT), Blockchain and Big Data analytics.
Supply Chain Analytics
Developing detailed supply chain analytics to deliver enhanced end to end SC visibility (e.g. creating and connecting supply chain models to customer and pricing analytics).
Supply Chain Planning Functional
Demand and supply planning, sales & operations planning, segmentation strategy, inventory optimisation and/or production scheduling.
Supply Chain Planning with Technology
Knowledge of one of the following technologies (either from a Business Integrator, Systems Integrator or Client role): OMP, Kinaxis, o9, Aera, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, and SAP S/4 HANA.
Logistics
Network design and network modelling; understanding of global customs and trade; warehouse design and optimisation; 3PL and 4PL or Control Tower management.
Manufacturing
Manufacturing optimisation both in terms of plant level performance improvement (both technology and people) or holistic manufacturing network optimisation.
Procurement
Strategic, operational or transactional procurement across the buying lifecycle including procurement strategy, Operating Model, category management, strategic sourcing or deployment of procurement data, technology and analytics.
Service and Asset Management Transformation
Understanding and knowledge of end to end asset management lifecycle, including Field force, service and asset management transformation. The asset management lifecycle covers strategy, budgeting, sourcing, warehousing and logistics, inventory management, repairs, disposals and asset accounting processes.
