The opportunity

This person has the ultimate responsibility for the commercial success of the new London flagship wavespace, for contributing to realisation of the benefits of Project Grace, and for the operational success of the new MLP campus.

 

Your key responsibilities

Leadership & strategy

  • Lead the development and evolution of the strategy for the London flagship wavespace
  • Lead new proposition and archetype development (ie, supply side), consider alliances and building out EY’s ecosystem. 
  • Lead, manage and develop the wavespace crew with the right capabilities, experience and behaviours to successfully implement the strategy and deliver amazing client experience and exceptional outcomes
  • Work with EY Seren and other areas of EY to explore how to bring through their skillsets and offerings tangibly into wavespace to expand capabilities of wavespace.
  • Within the minimum prescribed guidelines, develop the wavespace brand in the UK to make it as flexible and relevant as possible to supporting the goals and needs of the London wavespace.

 

Market activation

  • Work with the SLs to explore and experiment with different propositions and approaches to sales and delivery within wavespace (ie, demand side)
  • Engage with GCSPs to identify workshop opportunities for their accounts (ie, demand side)
  • Develop the internal communications strategy for activating wavespace within London/UK firm
  • Develop the external communications/PR strategy, and go-to-market approach for the London wavespace
  • Be in the market to sell wavespace as a service directly to clients as the result of demand from account, sector and practice leadership
  • Lead and participate in client pitches

 

Operations & stakeholder management

  • Design of governance and operational model for the London wavespace
  • Seat on the UKI Markets Client Tech & Innovation leadership team
  • Ongoing management responsibility for the day to day operations of the London wavespace including reporting, budget management and stakeholder management
  • Final say on the booking schedule and team assignments
  • Actively link with and build relationships with the rest of the wavespace network
  • Develop trusted relationships with the RLT and senior representatives from the service lines and sectors

People

  • Hire and develop a high performing, tightly knit, cross functional team to crew the wavespace
  • Ongoing responsibility for leadership of the crew
  • Act as counsellor for senior members of crew

 

Design and delivery of workshops and events

  • Creative Director-type advisory role for client workshops and events.  Work closely with Lead Facilitator, Head of Events and client service teams to develop high impact workshops for their clients – in particular, strategic input into design, client experience, and development of content and storyline
  • Act as lead facilitator for limited number of client workshops as appropriate
  • Build trusted relationships with the C-Suite of key clients

 

Skills and attributes for success
This is a high-visibility role within EY, with regular EY leadership and client interaction.

 

To qualify you must have

  • Deep experience in design thinking and innovation environments
  • A proven track record of leading and motivating creative people
  • Strong consulting experience with a clear understanding of business processes
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of client and internal stakeholders

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Business development/sales experience
  • Advanced degree/equivalent professional experience
