Job Title: Enterprise Architect – Architecture Data and Insights

Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

 

Role Description:

The Enterprise Architect, Architecture Data and Insights will own the architecture data model, drive change in our repositories to implement the model and deliver powerful insight to drive technology optimization and improve reference architecture compliance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define and obtain approval for a data architecture strategy to support Technology architecture
  • Define and own the technology architecture data model and associated governance within HSBC enterprise architecture WG
  • Engage with business, data, technology architects to agree, prioritise and deliver data requirements and agree the architecture data model and roadmap
  • Drive greater maturity of observability of architecture compliance
  • As part of the Architecture Data Insight team, define and deliver powerful architecture insight
  • Run / work within pods to deliver data and insight requirements
  • Ensure that all architecture data has agreed trusted source
  • Engage with trusted sources to agree change plan to embed the architecture data model and obtain quality information that drive required architecture insights
  • Define and own the architecture data architecture roadmap
Requirements

Essential Skillset/Experience:

  • A track record of delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in sustainable ways.
  • A track record of delivering improved IT processes
  • Use of data and MI in internal processes to drive continuous improvements
  • Experience of modern solution architecture
  • Passion for technology & understanding how things work.
  • A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications.
  • Candidates will have a good understanding of Financial Services, Operational asset information and IT investment, change and architecure processes
  • Ability to translate business needs into appropriate Technology solutions.

 

The role will be based in Sheffield.
