Job description

Hybrid (London)

Home. There’s no place like it. And there’s no feeling like helping people create the joy of feeling truly at home.

At Dunelm, that’s what we do.

Dunelm (FTSE 250 plc) is the UK’s largest homewares retailer. A highly ambitious organisation, Dunelm is building a digitally led, consumer-focused organisation that delights customers. With over 11,000 colleagues, a leading-edge multichannel operation and 178 stores, Dunelm has ambitions to double the Group’s market share.

To give a sense of the magnitude of the opportunity, Dunelm is already proud to be the UK’s leading specialist Homewares retailer and is highly profitable and cash generative. Yet, the business only holds a fraction of the market share of the UK Homewares market, and even less market share of the UK furniture market.

The Opportunity;

Whilst there are many game-changing opportunities to capitalise on, growing our furniture business is seen as one of our key growth areas and, as such, an exciting new role has been identified as a critical enabler to this – Digital Trading Manager - Furniture.

In a market which is of similar size to the homewares market (circa £13billion) Dunelm still has a relatively low market share. Our digital channels (across Dunelm.com Home Delivery and Click and Collect, and MPOS sales made in store) will be where we expect most of the growth.

This role is key in Dunelm achieving our ambitious growth in sales and profit on furniture.

As the Digital Trading Manager for Furniture, you be commercially minded and will focus on maximising every trading opportunity on Dunelm.com.  You will also report to and work closely with the Head of Digital Furniture Growth, collaborating on projects that will drive growth across the furniture business in all our digital channels.

Use insight, data and competitor activity to unlock commercial opportunities to drive sales and volume growth with particular attention on price changes, range sizes, trends, new product opportunities and availability,  feeding into the monthly and bi-annual commercial strategies as well as our Supplier to Site project.
