Who we need We are looking for an experienced Plumbing and Gas Assessor to join our Construction Apprenticeship team. You will work with a caseload of Level 3 apprentices, to deliver flexible, high-quality training and assessments within the workplace. You will be responsible for all areas of the apprenticeship standard including some teaching responsibilities. Key duties include: -Ensure apprentices cover the relevant knowledge, skills, and behaviours of their vocational area, to meet their end point assessment. -Monitor and manage apprentices progress including the recording of off the job. -Provide quality feedback which encouraged all apprentices to achieve their full potential including higher grades. -Use college systems to update and track apprentice progression -Some delivery of the apprenticeship standard What youll bring As an experienced trainer and assessor, you will need to be Gas Safe Registered and be able to assess apprentices for the following competences: -CCN 1-Core Safety -CENWAT 1 Boilers/Water Heaters -HTR1 Gas Fires -CKR1 Gas Cookers -LPG Essential skills include: -Planning and organisation -Excellent communication skills both written and verbal -Team player with the proactiveness to also work independently -Ideally you will be a qualified assessor, or willing to work towards -Extensive experience and up to date knowledge of working practices within the plumbing and gas industry Interviews / Assessments are planned for: week commencing 19 February 2024 A place to belong Join a diverse, vibrant community of over 1,300 staff and feel welcome from day one.
