Interim GenAI and Data Specialist

The Role

This position will suit a hands-on data professional with a strong track record in delivering practical, commercially valuable AI and data solutions. You will play a leading role in identifying, testing, and scaling GenAI applications within new and existing ventures, working alongside product managers, growth leads, and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying opportunities where AI and data can deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
• Rapidly developing and testing prototypes to validate AI use cases.
• Advising product and commercial teams on the practical application of GenAI and data-led insights.
• Staying ahead of developments in AI, machine learning, and data engineering, applying them where relevant to solve business problems.
• Contributing to the development of data strategy and capability across a portfolio of early-stage ventures.

Candidate Profile

• Significant experience in data science, AI, or advanced analytics, with a strong understanding of Generative AI and its practical applications.
• Commercially focused, with experience in product, growth, or venture-building environments.
• Strong communicator, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experienced in working within fast-paced, delivery-focused teams.
• Practical and pragmatic, with a clear sense of where AI can drive genuine business value.

Desirable experience includes:

• Exposure to cloud-based data and AI platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience in start-up, scale-up, or new venture environments.
• Knowledge of sectors such as financial services, mobility, insurance, or consumer products.
