Head of Pay and Reward Governance
- Location: City of London / hybrid working with 3 days in office
- Job Type: Fixed Term Contract until June 2026
- Salary: £66,190 to £75,010 (including ILW) and amazing benefits
We are delighted to be working with a prestigious and historic London Authority, who are seeking a Head of Pay and Reward Governance on an fixed term employed basis until June 2026.
This pivotal role is part of a reward transformation project team dedicated to promoting governance and compliance across the organisation. The successful candidate will lead HR policy development in pay and reward governance, ensuring job evaluation governance, compliance, and quality improvement in all processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the effective delivery of the corporation's governance processes relating to job evaluation, pay, and grading frameworks.
- Maintain consistency and transparency in evaluations, introduce and oversee governance protocols, and support organisational design initiatives.
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders on pay and reward governance.
- Work in close collaboration with the Policy & Industrial Relations Lead to review and develop policies, ensuring timely progress with appropriate consultation with Trade Unions and adherence to policy governance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in job evaluation methodology and align outcomes within the governance framework.
- Take the lead to ensure that a quality improvement approach is at the heart of everything we do in the realm of pay and reward governance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in HR policy development, particularly in pay and reward governance.
- Strong understanding of job evaluation processes and governance.
- Public sector experience
- Ability to lead and influence policy development and compliance initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working collaboratively with policy and industrial relations teams.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance in HR practices.
