Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing (New Builds & Refurbishments)

Location: Blackburn

Position: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Blackburn, working on a variety of social housing projects, including both new build developments and refurbishment schemes. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee cost management throughout all stages of residential housing projects
• Prepare accurate cost plans, budgets, and valuations
• Manage sub-contractor procurement and payments
• Monitor project variations and handle cost reporting
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure successful delivery
• Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, and internal procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in Quantity Surveying
• Proven experience working on social housing, particularly new builds and refurbishments
• Solid understanding of JCT contracts and UK construction standards
• Excellent attention to detail with strong commercial and negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and client-facing abilities
