We are working with a leading insurance organisation, seeking a Chief of Staff to support the Group General Counsel and play a pivotal role in shaping a legal function that is innovative, highly respected, and deeply valued by the business.

As Chief of Staff to the General Counsel, responsibilities will include:

• Developing and helping deliver the legal function’s vision, strategy, and operating plans
• Shaping the agenda and content for key legal leadership forums and events
• Crafting compelling executive and board-level materiels
• Liaising across business units to ensure alignment and strategic collaboration
• Partnering with finance, risk, and corporate affairs teams to support high-level internal communications
• Leading high-impact, cross-functional projects aligned with legal and enterprise priorities
• Providing data-driven legal, financial, and market analysis to support decision-making
• Acting as the GC’s primary project lead for enterprise-wide initiatives

To be considered for the role you should:

• Be a UK-qualified Solicitor
• Be comfortable operating at senior levels and influencing C-suite executives
• Have strong analytical and financial skills
• Be a natural problem solver in dynamic environments
