Job description
Arthur is delighted to be supporting a global (re)insurer who are seeking a qualified actuary with strong capital modelling expertise to play a key role within a high-performing actuarial team.
This is a hands-on position, reporting into the Head of offering the chance to shape model development, influence methodology, and provide insights that directly support strategic decision-making across multiple entities.
What you'll do:
- Contribute to the design, maintenance and enhancement of the internal capital model, ensuring it remains robust, efficient and compliant.
- Lead or support key processes including parameterisation, validation, reporting and regulatory submissions (Lloyd’s, PRA, BMA and rating agencies).
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across reserving, pricing, risk and finance to ensure alignment in assumptions and methodology.
- Deliver clear, insightful analysis that informs both technical and commercial outcomes.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and development.
Skills Required:
- Fellowship of a recognised actuarial body (e.g. IFoA).
- Proven capital modelling experience, ideally within the London Market.
- Strong technical understanding of model design, parameterisation and output interpretation.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, organised approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
This role requires a RTW in the UK without sponsorship.
