Legal Counsel - Financial Services (12 month FTC) in City of London

Job description

A diversified PE backed financial services firm is looking for a Lawyer to join their busy team on a 12 month FTC basis to cover for a period of maternity leave. City location, hybrid working.

This is a great all-rounder role for a lawyer who has been working in the financial services sector. Australian and NZ lawyers with relevant experience also encouraged to apply.

Reporting to the Group General Counsel you will have a varied role such as;

• general commercial contract drafting and negotiation
• support the corporate advisory, trusts and wealth management teams on legal and compliance matters
• regulatory advice and updates to business
• engaging external counsel when required
• corporate transactional support

To be considered for this role you will be 5+ years PQE as a guide with experience gained in a regulated financial services environment, in-house or in private practice. You will bring a strong technical skill set coupled with the ability to work in a fast-paced team.
