Endevor Administrator – 6-Month Contract | Hybrid (Manchester) in Manchester Area

Job description

We’re supporting a large banking programme that’s looking for an experienced Endevor Administrator to join their mainframe team.

You’ll play a key role in managing and supporting CA Endevor environments, ensuring stable releases, smooth deployments, and high system reliability across multiple LPARs.

Location: Manchester (2 days onsite per week)

⏳ Duration: 6 months (with extensions likely)

What you’ll do:

• Administer and maintain CA Endevor environments
• Manage version control and change management for mainframe applications
• Create and maintain processor groups, element types, and exits
• Perform upgrades, installations, and configuration of Endevor software
• Automate deployments, shipments, and archiving
• Support developers and provide Endevor guidance
• Monitor system performance and maintain documentation

What we’re looking for:

• 8+ years of experience in Endevor administration or mainframe support
• Strong skills in JCL, TSO/ISPF, REXX, and CLIST
• Familiarity with ACF2 or RACF for security administration
• Experience with automation and scripting
• Good understanding of COBOL, JCL, or other mainframe languages
