Machine Operator – Temp to Perm

Neath | £16.80 per hour | 12-Hour Shifts (Days & Nights)

Are you an experienced Machine Operator looking for a stable, long-term role with a clear route to permanent employment?

Bridgestone Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturer, for full-time Machine Operators to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a secure career in a supportive environment, with a permanent contract available after a successful 12-week probation period.

What you’ll be doing:

• Setting up and operating manual and automatic machinery
• Recording daily productivity and quality data
• Carrying out visual quality inspections and routine maintenance
• Supporting production improvements around quality and efficiency
• Keeping machines and work areas clean and safe
• Following all Health & Safety and company guidelines
• Assisting with other reasonable tasks as directed by your line manager

Shift Pattern & Pay:

• 12-hour shifts (days & nights): 6:30am–6:30pm / 6:30pm–6:30am
• £16.80 per hour

2-week rotation:

Week 1: 5 shifts (Mon–Tues Days, Fri–Sun Nights)

Week 2: 2 shifts (Wed–Thurs Nights)

Then the cycle repeats

What we’re looking for:

• At least 2 year’s experience in manufacturing/production
• Previous machine operating experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of Health & Safety in an industrial setting
• Ability to carry out quality checks and routine maintenance
• Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts
• Reliable, hands-on, with good communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive team player

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic DBS check
