Milk Education are working on behalf of a warm and welcoming primary school in North Tyneside who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role providing general classroom support across the school, with some 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.

The ideal candidate will be a caring, proactive individual who enjoys working with children and is passionate about helping every child reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation
• Provide 1:1 or small group support for children with additional learning or behavioural needs
• Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assist with classroom organisation and maintaining resources
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children in a school, childcare or similar setting
• Is patient, flexible and confident managing a variety of situations
• Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Has a genuine passion for education and supporting children with SEND
