About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and creative Internal Communications Specialist to join a growing manufacturing organisation. This role is key to ensuring employees remain informed, engaged, and aligned with the organisation’s vision, values, and strategic objectives.
You will develop and deliver clear, consistent, and compelling internal communications that support business goals, enhance employee experience, and foster a strong sense of community across a workforce of approximately 500 staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies aligned with business objectives and values.
- Create engaging content for newsletters, intranet, email, digital signage, and town halls.
- Partner with HR, Operations, and other teams to support change communications, leadership visibility, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Manage the internal communications calendar and ensure timely delivery of messages.
- Support crisis and operational communications, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Gather employee feedback to improve communication effectiveness.
- Champion the organisation’s tone of voice and brand across all internal messaging.
- Measure and report on communication impact using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Leverage intranet platforms and other digital tools to reach diverse employee groups effectively.
About You
You are a skilled communicator who can work strategically and execute day-to-day communications initiatives. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are comfortable engaging with a diverse workforce across multiple departments.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience in internal communications, ideally within a manufacturing or technical environment.
- Strong writing, editorial, and content creation skills.
- Experience using intranet platforms and digital communication tools.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Experience:
- Knowledge of employee engagement and change management principles.
- Experience with internal digital content platforms (e.g., Oak).
- Understanding of internal communications best practices in a manufacturing setting.

Requirements
