A leading global financial institution is seeking a UK-qualified solicitor with deep expertise in UK financial regulation to join its London-based legal team. The role focuses on supporting private capital operations across the UK and EU, offering strategic legal guidance on regulatory frameworks including AIFMD, MiFID II, and the FCA Handbook.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on UK and EU financial regulatory regimes relevant to investment managers and private funds.
  • Drafting and negotiating NDAs, engagement letters, and other legal documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial promotion, client categorisation, and marketing rules.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and assessing legal impact.
  • Collaborating with Compliance and external counsel to manage legal risk.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 4 - 6 years' PQE, but candidates with more experience are encourgaged to apply.
  • Experience with fund distribution restrictions and cross-border private placement regimes is highly desirable.
  • If in private practice, experience of working within a financial organisation, on secondment, would be advantageous.
  • Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive, collaborative approach.
