The role
As a Finance Business Partner you will partner, support and provide timely and accurate management, statutory and regulatory financial reporting data relating to assigned directorates, including the monitoring of key performance indicators allowing them to be accountable for their financial performance.

What you’ll be doing
- Providing support for the production of forecast and budgets
- Undertaking analysis to identify risks and opportunities for these areas
- Partnering with the business to help them understand their finances
- Providing useful and insightful activity level analysis and reporting
- Providing support for the production of project plans;
- Be the point of contact for queries in relation to finances
- Creation and reporting of insightful management Information
- Assisting in the development of budgets to feed into the fall planning process
- Production of the reporting and variance analysis, covering Opex and Capex.
- Production of ad hoc reporting on a timely basis and embed as standard reporting if required.
- Ensure a high level of communication with senior managers within both the wider Finance teams and the business to gain trust and address issues quickly with clear actions to resolve.
- Translate regulatory financial information for the relevant functions.
- Lead the production of all financial reporting in respect to Innovation.
- Develop and maintain a working relationship with all managers within the support directorates, to identify opportunities for maximising spend effectiveness and keeping costs tightly managed
What you will bring

- Ability to forge strong relationships with all relevant members of the directorate and be able to communicate key messages clearly and concisely:
- Ability to understand complex financial models and convert these into a clear, coherent position.
- Ability to balance workload priorities to deliver business requirements.
- Driven individual with keen attention to detail ensuring consistency is applied through all aspects of responsibility.
- Highly organised with ability to prioritise and plan work activities, along with ability to move quickly between tasks.
- Ability to manage change and drive performance standards.
What you should display
- Be a qualified accountant with at least 3 years PQE
- Strong analytical & numerical skills.
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project and Power Point).
- Excellent planning, organisation prioritisation and attention to detail skills.
- Time management and delivery of tasks to deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to cross collaborate working with senior managers.
- Strong team player with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
