Head of Employee Relations
Where you need to be Located: Midlands – with regular travel to our offices (HO in Northampton and London)
Type: Hybrid | Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hours)
Salary: £DOE plus car allowance
Reports to: HR Operations Director

What You Will Do:
- Lead Strategy: Design and implement a progressive ER strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Expert Advisory: Provide guidance on complex ER cases, including grievances, disciplinaries, supporting tribunal cases and disputes.
- Policy Innovation: Develop and maintain forward-thinking HR policies and processes.
- Change Leadership: Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and acquisitions.
- Data Driven Insights: Analyse ER trends and deliver actionable insights to inform decision-making.
- Team Development: Lead and inspire a high-performing ER team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in transforming ER functions and managing complex cases.
- Deep knowledge of UK employment law and compliance.
- Strong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- CIPD Level 7 and relevant education
- Experience in regulated sectors (childcare or similar) is highly desirable.
