Job description
Contract until end of 2025 (extension likely)| Start: ASAP | Onsite 1 day a week
Financial Accountant will support the team in delivering annual statutory reporting and audit
compliance across 45+ entities. The role will proactively coordinate and ensure timely delivery and review of the UK statutory accounts as well as other statutory output required for the UK entities. The role will be a lead in providing technical accounting advice and continuous process enhancements across statutory reporting processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with Senior Financial Accountant and Head of Reporting on coordination, review and delivery of all elements of statutory reporting for the UK entities to deadlines including the reconciliation of US to UK GAAP and statutory consolidations
- Support liaison with external auditors and other Omnicom departments to deliver annual audits (Group and Statutory) across Omnicom entities
- Support in technical areas of statutory accounts including consolidations and impairments
- Proactively coordinate and support SSC team on various statutory tax reporting matters including Omnicom tax questionnaires, VAT and PSA submission
- Support in preparation of annual International Tax Data Collection (ITDC);
- Liaise with Omnicom in-house tax team on statutory submissions as required
- Seek to ensure best practices are applied and contribute to continuous improvement of processes.
Other duties:
- S-Box compliance
- Participation in projects impacting the financial reporting and controls as well as ad hoc projects including automation
Person Specification:
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA) with relevant experience in statutory accounts and external audit. Part qualified are considered.
- Good practical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate at all levels
- A team player who actively supports others but also with ability to work independently
- Highly organised with good attention to detail and takes pride in great work
- Takes responsibility of timely delivering to the deadline
- Adaptable to changing work allocation and environment
- Pro-active and with a can-do attitude and able to handle tasks
- Passionate about identifying and implementing process improvements
- Strong IT skills specifically with Microsoft Office
- Experience of Hyperion is beneficial but not essential
- Experience with Microsoft D365 or similar ERP system beneficial but not essential
