Air Import Specialist – Freight Forwarding

Location: Feltham

Salary: £40,000

I’m working with a well-known forwarder in the Feltham area who is looking to add an experienced Air Import Specialist to the team. This is a hands-on, start-to-finish role where you’ll have full ownership of your files – from the moment the shipment hits the ground through to delivery and final invoicing.

What the role involves:

• Running full air import operations, including pre-alerts, clearances, liaising with airlines, arranging final mile deliveries and keeping customers updated throughout
• Completing import customs declarations – Home Use, End Use, Bonded, IPR/OPR and occasional Carnets, depending on the client
• Working closely with airlines, hauliers, warehouse teams and customers to keep shipments moving without delays
• Putting together quotes when needed and making sure billing is wrapped up accurately at the end of each job
• Keeping on top of documentation, regulatory requirements and time-critical shipments

What they’re looking for:

• At least 4 years’ air import experience within a UK freight forwarding environment
• Someone who is confident with customs processes and special procedures
• A steady, reliable employment background
• Strong communication skills and the ability to stay organised when it's busy
• Someone who’s comfortable managing their own workload and stepping in to help the team when required
