Management Accountant in London Area

Job description

A specialist Financial Services client of ours are seeking a Qualified Management Accountant with a Financial Services background to fill in the notice period of a permanent hire for around 3-4 months.

The role is hybrid and can pay £400 per day inside IR35

Duties

• Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing insightful reports, and ensuring robust controls are in place across their international entities
• Lead the delivery of monthly management accounts for international entities, ensuring all workpapers are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations (including accruals, prepayments, and accrued income)
• Ensuring the integrity of the P&L and Balance Sheet
• Assist in preparing P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports, providing meaningful commentary and variance analysis against budget
• Prepare and post month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, payroll, fixed assets, and other ad hoc entries)
• Oversee bank reconciliations for all accounts, including foreign currency accounts, ensuring accurate cash reporting

Person Spec

• CIMA or ACCA Qualified Accountant with 1 years min PQE
• Be available to start Immediately
• Experience with Finance ERP systems
• Financial Services sector experience from a small to Medium firm
