We’re recruiting a Jewellery Polisher, known internally as a CPR Technician for our bespoke Repairs Workshop located in Hockley, Birmingham. Our Repairs Workshop known as the Birmingham Service Centre or BSC is the largest, single site, repairs operations across the UK.

As a CPR Technician (Polisher) you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality of precious metal items by executing detailed polishing, cleaning, and finishing. Additionally, you’ll ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety and security regulations while maintaining a clean and presentable workspace.
As CPR Technician you’ll interact with multiple teams and adhere to security and safety procedures. Training is provided to support additional skills, including plating and applying matt finishes.
- Workload: Complete up to 80 jobs per day.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with Team Leader, other Polishers, Jewellers, and Admin.
- Quality Control: Conduct detailed inspections for loose or missing stones and non-precious metals.
Typical duties
- Complete up to 80 polishing jobs daily.
- Inspect incoming work for loose or missing stones and non-precious metals.
- Communicate effectively with the Team Leader, other Polishers, Jewellers, and Admin.
- Follow Health & Safety regulations, including wearing Corporate Wear or Hi-Vis daily.
- Prepare items for plating by polishing and cleaning to a high standard.
About you!
- Experience polishing and cleaning precious metals to a high standard.
- Strong attention to detail to identify potential issues, such as loose stones or incorrect materials.
- Ability to meet high productivity targets (80 jobs daily) while maintaining quality.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with Team Leader and other team members.
- Awareness of Health & Safety and security regulations in a workshop environment.
