International Casualty & Specialty Analytics DirectorAon are looking to hire an experienced International Casualty & Specialty Analytics Director to join our growing team based in London. As part of this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day development and oversight of our strategic analytic tools to support casualty, energy, marine and aviation insurance broking.

This is a hybrid position with the flexibility to work both from home and our head office in London.

What the day will look like

Reporting to the Head of International & Specialty Analytics for Commercial Risk, you will be responsible for the day-to-day development and oversight of our strategic analytic tools to support casualty, energy, marine and aviation insurance broking.

Work closely with key stakeholders across broking, and our analytics development teams to deliver key strategic tool deliverables.

Work with our brokers to understand and support complex client conversations and work to develop solutions that meet client needs.

Ensure best practice in model technical governance.

Support brokers in key client meetings.

Work closely with brokers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and translate complex actuarial concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.

Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working to tight deadlines to deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.

Platform Utilization: Leverage your knowledge of analytic platforms like Databricks and Snowflake to enhance data management, processing, and analysis capabilities within the organization.

Own and maintain critical data assets for use across the organization and provide thought leadership on the development of management information and industry insights.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Qualified Actuary with experience in pricing within the commercial insurance sector, ideally in either or both of casualty and specialty.

Proven experience in commercial lines pricing: loss curve fitting, exposure modelling, or stochastic modeling would be a distinct advantage.

Demonstrable experience in pricing infrastructure - building and refining pricing algorithms, tools and analytics using best practice industry techniques

Strong programming skills in SQL and Python/R is a significant advantage.

Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog or Snowflake is a significant advantage.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
