Key Account Manager – FMCG, Supermarkets & Discounters

Location: Essex (3 days in-office / 2 days client visits)

Territory Focus: Southern England, Manchester, Leeds, & Birmingham

Compensation: Competitive base salary+ 15% Annual Bonus

With recent major acquisitions in the candles and lifestyle spaces, we are doubling down on growth and expanding our UK footprint.

The Role

As our new Key Account Manager, you will take strategic and operational ownership of a £3.6 Million budget across 10 to 12 major retail accounts. Your mission is dual-focused: nurturing established high-street relationships while driving new business development for our rapidly growing non-food and general merchandise lines.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage & Penetrate: Lead relationships with major supermarket chains (like Morrisons, Asda, Co-op) and drive expansion into top-tier grocers like Tesco and Sainsbury’s.
• Execute Strategy: Balance high-level commercial strategy with hands-on execution—including store visits to monitor competitor presence and store layouts.
• International Collaboration: Work closely with our UK team and independent representatives, while collaborating with international subsidiaries

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven track record as a Key or National Account Manager within the UK FMCG / Grocery / Discounter sectors.
• A strong relationship builder with existing contacts in major high-street discounters or supermarkets.
• ♂ A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset—someone who loves being out in the field as much as building a commercial strategy.
