About the role

Forward Role are delighted to be exclusively partnering with one of the UK’s most well-known and well-loved consumer brands on a genuinely exciting hire. This is a household name, an established business with real scale and a loyal customer base and they’re now investing seriously in marketplace as a key growth channel.

This is a hands-on Marketplace Manager role, focused on launching and managing marketplace channels from day one. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running, optimisation and growth of marketplace operations across a broad and impressive portfolio of platforms, with Amazon at the core. You’ll also provide wider e-commerce support across the business’s websites when needed, and as marketplace scales, there’s a real opportunity to shape the strategy and build a team beneath you.

If you’re a confident, commercially focused marketplace professional who thrives in a lean, fast-moving environment and wants genuine ownership, this is one to take seriously.

What you’ll be responsible for

Marketplace operations

  • Own the day-to-day management and optimisation of multiple marketplace channels, with Amazon as the primary focus
  • Use Channel Engine to manage marketplace integrations and streamline operations
  • Work with marketplace account managers and platform partners to drive performance
  • Manage marketplace-related digital activity including sponsored placements, banners, and campaign activity

Growth & strategy

  • Support the launch and growth of new marketplace partnerships across platforms including TikTok Shop, Tesco, B&Q, Debenhams, The Range, Wayfair, Next, eBay, JoyBuy, and Argos
  • Identify and onboard additional marketplace opportunities as the channel evolves
  • Help shape marketplace strategy as the function scales, with the potential to build and lead a team
  • Provide cover and support for wider e-commerce website management when required

What we’re looking for

  • Proven marketplace management experience, ideally with hands-on Amazon expertise
  • Strong operational e-commerce background with experience managing multiple platforms
  • Experience with marketplace integration tools such as Channel Engine or similar
  • Knowledge of digital marketplace advertising and sponsored placements
  • Commercial awareness with a clear focus on driving sales growth and operational efficiency
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a lean, hands-on team environment
  • Broader e-commerce platform management capability is a bonus

This role comes with a competitive salary, great perks, and the chance to put your stamp on a high-profile marketplace function at a brand people actually know and love.
