Pybus Recruitment is working with a highly successful automotive retail business to recruit an experienced and driven Sales Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a high-performing sales department within a fast-paced dealership environment.

Our client is a well-established automotive group with a strong presence across the UK, offering a wide range of new and used vehicles. They are committed to investing in their people and providing an industry-leading benefits package to support both career development and wellbeing.

The Role

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Salary: Up to £45,000–£55,000 OTE (£65,000–£80000 basic depending on experience + bonus)
  • Hours: 44 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday: 9:00am–6:00pm (one late finish to 7:00pm and a day off midweek)
  • Saturday: 9:00am–5:00pm
  • Sunday: 11:00am–3:00pm (rota basis)

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a talented Sales Manager to lead an established team, drive performance, and deliver outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales process from enquiry through to vehicle handover
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team through structured 1:1s, coaching, and training
  • Drive departmental performance by delivering against targets and key KPIs
  • Oversee vehicle stock, including purchasing, pricing, and stock management
  • Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations and internal processes
  • Take ownership of customer satisfaction and continuously improve the customer journey
  • Oversee showroom standards, vehicle preparation, and presentation
  • Work closely with internal teams including buyers, preparation teams, and marketing

About You

  • Proven experience in a Sales Manager or senior automotive sales role
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Commercially focused with experience managing budgets and achieving targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Good understanding of finance and insurance products and relevant regulations
  • Full UK driving licence is required
