Weekend Manager
25 30 Hours per week / 1-2 evenings Per Week
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Weekend Manager to lead and oversee day-to-day operations across their sports facility. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a strong background in retail, sales, or hospitality management who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills, a hands-on management style, and the ability to drive team performance while maintaining high operational standards. Hospitality experience will be highly regarded, as the role involves regular interaction with a diverse range of customers and staff. Availability to work weekends and 12 evenings during the week is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and supervise team members to achieve performance targets and deliver exceptional customer service
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with company policies
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to maximise product presentation and sales
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed business targets
- Create staff rosters, allocate tasks, and provide regular performance feedback
- Maintain clear and professional communication with staff, customers, and senior management
- Manage administrative tasks including reporting, stock control, and record keeping
- Ensure all health, safety, and organisational standards are met at all times
- Promote a positive workplace culture that encourages teamwork, development, and high morale
Skills & Experience
- 35 years experience in a supervisory or management role within retail or hospitality
- Proven leadership ability with a hands-on, people-focused approach
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including phone and customer engagement
- Experience in merchandising, sales management, and operational planning
- Sound administrative skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while managing multiple responsibilities
