Overview


We are looking for an outstanding Store Manager to join the team in Newbury. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for quality products and a natural warmth that inspires both customers and colleagues.

Our client is a unique retailer, selling imaginative gift ideas, Stationery, Wellbeing Items along with Home & Garden innovative Products.

This role will suit somebody from a relatively small store background, with a huge hands-on focus towards Merchandising, Customer Service and Team Leadership.

About You

The most important aspect of this role is the ability to confidently create and lead a happy, engaged and motivated team.

As a Store Manager, you will ideally have:

• At least two years of store management experience

• An excellent work ethic and positive attitude

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• The ability to create a welcoming environment for customers

• Experience ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a store

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding customer service standards

• Take responsibility for achieving financial targets and KPIs without pressure selling

• Follow company policies and procedures

• Complete staff rota’s and administrative tasks in a timely manner

• Maintain excellent product presentation and product knowledge

• Ensure the store and staff areas remain clean and tidy at all times

• Attend and participate in management training sessions

• Carry out Health & Safety checks and ensure compliance

• Follow all security procedures as a keyholder

• Lead by example with professionalism and kindness

Hours of Employment

A fantastic work-life balanced rota is on offer!

 You will work on a 2-week rota. Mon – Fri in Week 1 and Tues – Sat in Week 2

• Business hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm, no late nights!

• Hours are subject to change in line with business needs

As part of a management role, additional hours beyond regular contracted hours may occasionally be required to support the business.
