Assistant Facilitator
Location: South London (Share Clapham Junction SW11 1JL, Share Tooting SW17 0YF, Share Brixton SW9 7AA and Share Vauxhall SE11 6AA)
Hours: Part Time (Up to 30 hours per week)
Salary: £29,994 pro rata
Do you want to work as part of a small team to deliver sessions and empower adults with learning disabilities and autism? We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team player to join our team as an Assistant Facilitator.
Share is a registered charity and a centre for training and wellbeing. We provide a range of programmes helping adults with learning disabilities, autism and other support needs become more happy, healthy and independent. Our vision is a world where disabled people are fully included in society, living the life they choose, and we need talented people to help us make that happen.
Youll help people build the life skills they need to make positive long-term changes. Youll support our students in small sessions providing individualised attention to students, both at our training centres and out in the community. Youll help our students achieve their personal objectives and keep learning in an engaging, fun and stimulating way.
Main responsibilities
- Youll work flexibly to support students to engage in a variety of projects and classes
- Youll be responsible for completing daily administrative tasks including recording student learning and maintaining wellbeing records
- Youll provide flexible delivery support, delivering whole or part sessions as and when needed
- Youll independently set up, plan and lead free time activities
Who were looking for
- Youll have experience working within social care and providing services directly to adult with learning disabilities and autism (paid or unpaid)
- Youll demonstrate experience in leading classes, project activities and/or sessions without support
- Youre an excellent communicator, someone who listens with great patience and empathy
- Youre able to inspire trust and confidence, always behaving with integrity and honesty
- Most importantly, you share our strong commitment to the inclusion of disabled people in society, you believe in equality for all
