The role is part of the Costa IT Operations Infrastructure Management team, responsible for technical governance and assurance of all components of infrastructure.

In this role you will be contributing to the cloud infrastructure strategy for IT to deliver to the evolving and growing demands of the Costa business. for driving adoption and consumption of Costa’s cloud infrastructure and working closely with the Infrastructure Manager and the Cloud Hosting Manager to ensure the use of cloud services is in line with our standards and principles.

A bit about the role...

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, this role will be a key part of the Costa IT Operations Infrastructure Management team, responsible for technical governance and assurance of all components of infrastructure.

You will also be supporting the Infrastructure Manager in developing the infrastructure and cloud roadmaps, aligned to the cloud strategy and the enterprise architectural strategy.

Assisting with capacity and availability management of cloud infrastructure components, ensuring IT Disaster Recovery for critical services. Ensuring the cloud infrastructure landscape complies with IT Security and risk requirements.

Building strong and credible relationships to ensure the business operation is fully understood and the criticality of IT infrastructure components is recognised by IT and the appropriate service and support provision is in place to meet business needs.

The main responsibilities will include;

  • Contributing to the cloud infrastructure strategy for IT to deliver to the evolving and growing demands of the Costa business.
  • Development and implementation of IT infrastructure security processes and compliance requirements.
  • Assuring IT Operations compliance for relevant IT and Information Security audits.
  • Supporting IT change functions to ensure all changes within the IT infrastructure is managed correctly mitigating risks to the Costa business.
  • Providing subject matter expertise within supplier management process to ensure operational delivery of the Costa infrastructure to ensure it provides the business with available, scalable, and flexible platforms that are robust, available, and fully supported.
  • Actioning IT Audit requirements to ensure Costa IT deliver safe, secure, compliant services to the business.
  • Maintaining the compliancy of Costa’s IT Security standards across all infrastructure components, including SOX, GDPR and PCI-DSS regulations and accreditations.
  • Building relationships and commercial engagements (in conjunction with IT Procurement) with infrastructure partners and vendors to ensure Costa can leverage support for business-critical systems and services.

Additional responsibilities will include;

  • Provide specialist expertise and consultancy to IT project delivery to ensure IT infrastructure elements of projects are delivered in line with strategy and are delivered into the IT production environment mitigating risk to business services.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to cloud infrastructure and strategic technology change projects.
  • Assist with ensuring the infrastructure estate is appropriately licensed, meeting compliance and SAM legislation.
  • Provide technical support for Major Incident Management.

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2016
  • Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops application delivery
  • VMware vSphere virtualisation
