Applications are welcome for the above permanent, full time (8 sessions per week) post based in Wester Hailes Medical Practice, Edinburgh. 08:00am to 18:00pm 8 sessions, workdays to be discussed.

A vibrant skill mix of Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists and Mental Health Nurses work alongside our inspirational third sector partners here in the Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre. Very much at “the Deep End” of General Practice, our enthusiastic Primary Care team are geographically co-located with The Health Agency: a multifaceted voluntary team of community development projects ranging from food security through to palliative care. Together, we strive to devise innovative solutions to address the complex psychosocial, physical ill health and substance misuse challenges our patients face in this area of multiple deprivation in Southwest Edinburgh. We have a diverse, multicultural patient population, and although our demographic is not elderly, there is plenty of co-morbidity. We focus on preventative and holistic interventions with a collaborative and trauma informed approach. There’s something for all kinds of GPs here – experienced or newly CCTd. Interested? Responsible for meeting the medical needs of the patients of the practice by providing best practice in clinical care and management. The post holder will work closely with the medical and management team to develop and enhance the types and quality of services offered to patients in the local area. GMC registered medical practitioner, understanding of health inequality, evidence of commitment to patient-focused care, ability to work with and help motivate a team and ability to organize time efficiently and effectively.
