There is an exciting opportunity to join the Cardiac Physiology Team at NHS Highland. The Cardiology Department is undergoing a major expansion of clinical services and staff recruitment and to support this is looking to recruit an additional Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join our friendly and experienced team.
 
We have a friendly team of Cardiac Physiologists, Consultant Cardiologists and cardiology specialist Nurses. We encourage training and development and support will be given working towards national accreditation in cardiac rhythm management.
 
Based at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness you will provide a wide range of Cardiac tests including:
Pacemaker/ICD/CRT implantation
Pacemaker/ICD/CRT follow-up including attending peripheral pacemaker clinics throughout the Highlands and Islands on a regular basis.
Exercise tolerance testing 
Holter and Event recorder fitting and analysis 
Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab where we perform diagnostic angiography, angioplasty and IVUS etc. You will also be expected to participate in an out of hour on call service for the Cardiac Cath Lab
 
You should hold a BSc in Cardiac Physiology; although an equivalent qualification along with suitable knowledge training and experience may be acceptable. If you are a newly qualified Physiologist this post could be offered under the terms of Annex 21 while training is provided to give you the skills and knowledge to fulfil this role. 
 
Raigmore is a modern District General Hospital with 500 beds and a catchment area of almost 10,000 square miles covering the entire Scottish Highlands.
