Job description

Applications are invited for an Assistant Psychologist to join the Department of Clinical Neuropsychology, NHS Grampian, to support the North of Scotland Trauma Network.


Duties will include, under supervision from a Clinical Neuropsychologist, participating in audit and research to enhance services to people who have experienced major trauma, and their families.  Supervised clinical interventions and development of online resources for people who have experienced major trauma and neuropsychological consequences. 


This is an opportunity to gain experience as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team and in a lively neuropsychology department. We have close links with other psychology departments in the acute sector and with the University of Aberdeen. The post holder will be encouraged to attend CPD events and to liaise with psychologists in other specialities including the department of applied health psychology and paediatrics.


You will have an honours degree in psychology, be eligible for graduate membership of the BPS and have experience working within a psychology department or related field (e.g. research, care work). This post would suit a psychology graduate wishing to pursue a career in clinical psychology.
