Specialist Cardiac Physiologist - Cardiology Department in Glasgow
Job description
This post is full time at 37.5hrs per week. The base will be Vale of Leven Hospital with an expectation that, on a rare occasion, cover may need to be provided at Royal Alexandra Hospital during unplanned absence.
The role primarily involves leading the exercise test service and supporting the pacemaker service for out-patients from the Vale of Leven catchment area. There will also be a requirement to provide leadership for the cardiac physiology team. There will be the ability to train in echocardiography in the longer term.
Essential
At least 3 years post qualification as a Cardiac Physiologist
Clinical Physiology Degree or equivalent (HBTEC/HNC & Specialist Courses)
Accepted onto voluntary register for State registration
Desirable
Member of Society or Cardiac Science and Technology (SCST)
HRUK or IHBRE examination
Management / leadership experience
