Lead Clinical Pharmacist
Band 8a (£50,965 to £55,016) per annum and Distant Islands Allowance (£1,117 per annum)
37.5 Hours per Week

This post is in based at the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated pharmacist to lead and continue exciting work in developing a clinical and patient focussed clinical pharmacy service.
The post-holder will lead clinical Pharmacists on site to ensure the team provide high quality pharmaceutical care to inpatients, be responsible for the clinical pharmacy service to a number of wards and support the development of local projects, including the implementation of the new Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (HePMA) system and development of the Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) services.
There will also be opportunities to get involved in providing a clinical pharmacy service to the local hospice and remotely to another two hospitals throughout the archipelago. The service is looking to develop opportunities and initiatives around self-medication using patient’s own drug lockers throughout the hospital and the new HePMA system.
