​​​​​​​CAMHS are looking for Community Mental Health Practitioners.

We would welcome applicants from Learning Disability, Paediatric Nursing, School Nursing, Adult and Mental Health.

We have a range of nursing posts available to align with different aspect of the CAMHS service, Unscheduled Care, Liaison, Intensive Home Treatment, 18-25yrs and a Learning Disability Nurse.

These are Band 6 Nursing posts but we would consider a development position band 5-6 depending on experience.

NHS Borders are delighted to be inviting applicants to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service as a Community Mental Health Practitioner.  This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the Scottish Borders and experience the benefits of rural life with very easy access to major cities such as Edinburgh (37 miles), Glasgow (75 miles) and Newcastle (75 miles).

Scottish Borders CAMHS aims to deliver person centred care based on GIRFEC within our community as we progress through our service improvement program work, we very much see these important posts as an exciting opportunity to transform the way we support and care for children / young people and families in the community. 

We are looking for motivated Registered Nurse Practitioners with clinical experience and knowledge of children and young people’s mental health to provide assessment and treatments for numerous mental health presentations and diagnosis.   Applicants should be able to demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development and engagement in training opportunities, to increase your skills knowledge and experience in this area.

We provide Tier 3 multi-disciplinary and psychological interventions, and Tier 4 intensive community treatment. Led by our population’s changing needs and national guidance, we are fostering a period of innovation and positive change across a range of CAMHS activities and between us and our multi-agency partners. 

We provide regular in-house training opportunities through Continued Professional Development.
