MACMILLAN NURSE SPECIALIST PALLIATIVE CARE

37.5 HOURS - FIXED TERM 12 MONTHS

The Raigmore Hospital Palliative Care Advisory Service are excited to be recruiting for an exceptional, caring and motivated nurse  to become part of their nurse specialist team.  Working closely with medical team in the Highland Hospice, you will provide exemplary guidance and support to patients and their families in the Highlands of Scotland who have palliative care needs while being cared for in Raigmore Hospital.  You will also provide clinical support, advice and training to a wide range of professionals within Raigmore Hospital who care for patients with palliative care needs. 

This is a rarely available but rewarding opportunity to progress your nursing career into this specialised role.  You will have a passion for excellence in palliative care, have experience working at a senior level within nursing, and can evidence professional development in keeping with the requirements of the post as detailed in the job description.

You will be based in Raigmore Hospital, Inverness - the dedicated inpatient area in the Highlands for delivering cancer treatment.  NHS Highland supports a population of approximately 290,000 people.

This is a fixed term post and an excellent secondment opportunity.
