What are you going to do:
We are looking for a professional, Full Time SIA Security Officer to join our client's busy shopping centre in Brentwood in Essex. Working as part of a team, this role is all about the protection of customers, the site and the people who maintain it.
As a member of the security team, your role will encompass working in both the shopping centre itself, and also monitoring the CCTV from an assigned office. As mentioned, this role is based from a shopping centre, so is busy with people and requires lots of attention!
This role will be covering for other security officers, so will not be available week in week out, but we have lots of days available for you! PLEASE BE AWARE, YOU WILL NEED AN SIA LICENCE IN BOTH DS AND CCTV FOR THIS ROLE!
You will be:
- Working as part of a team that includes other security officers
- Speaking with and supporting visitors
- Patrolling the area
- Providing a physical security presence
- Monitoring entry and exit to the site
- Managing conflict should it arise
- Monitoring in-house CCTV (in order to do this, you will need an SIA CCTV Licence)
- Recording incidents, security & safety concerns
- Maintaining excellent communications, both written and verbal
Hours of Work:
- As already stated, this role is covering for other security officers, so days will vary. Shifts are 12 hours at a time, either 06:30 to 18:30, or 10:30 to 22:30. So far, the dates we need covering are Saturday 9th July, Wednesday 13th July, and 2 whole weeks in September.
Pay Rate:
- Hourly pay rate of £11-£12 per hour, dependent on age and experience.

What we ask:
- No minimum education required
- Previous experience in a Security role - involving CCTV monitoring is a must!
- Must have a SIA Licence for both CCTV and DS
