CAMHS Practitioner with ADHD Specialism in Stirling

Job description

We invite enthusiastic applicants to apply for this exciting development within NHS Forth Valley Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (FV CAMHS).  We are seeking experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses with an additional qualification in Non Medical Prescribing for this specialist area of practice. Ideally educated to Masters Level or equivalent or with the desire to work towards this. This role will be dedicated to the management of children presenting with neurodevelopment disorders, specifically Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

This is an expert post providing an opportunity for leadership and contribution to the development and planning of ADHD resources and interventions alongside multi disciplinary colleagues in Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology and CAMHS practitioners. You will be expected to manage your own caseload as well as lead on the provision of ADHD focussed assessments, providing medical and bio-psycho-social ADHD interventions, running groups, advising and supporting colleagues, and ensuring the high quality evidence based ADHD pathways. The post holder will also be involved in providing consultation and support to a wide range of professionals.

FV CAMHS provides assessment and interventions to children aged up to 18 years old, with moderate to severe complex mental health problems, and their families. This post will be based across Forth Valley locale, with bases in both Falkirk and Stirling.  The successful candidate will be offered excellent support, further training and development and the opportunity to be part of a developing forward thinking service, focused on high quality care for those who use it.
