The Centralised Delivery Centre (CDC) based in Newcastle upon Tyne is a nearshore centre established to provide Data and Intelligent Delivery and Assurance Operations Accelerator services to the UK Practice. 

 

Due to the continuing demand from our clients this is an exciting opportunity for a new Junior to join the expanding CDC team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing dynamic team who are changing how we deliver services to our clients. 


The opportunity

Working as a valued member of our Centralised Delivery Centre (CDC) Assurance Operations Accelerator (AOA) team, you will interface regularly with the CDC team and engagement team members. We are looking for someone to become a trusted Junior member of the team.

 

Your key responsibilities

You will spend most of your time dedicated to engagement administration and non-technical project coordination. You will provide day to day administrative support to audit teams, their activities and service delivery of audit engagements. 

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Assist with portfolio management activities
  • Work with EY Mercury Operations and Finance system
  • Execute centralised processes and procedures
  • Execute a role in the project management of the audit set up cycle
  • Work with Account Support Associates across the UK in UKI and FS
  • Work with EYs overseas GDS (Global Delivery Service) team
  • Other Adhoc duties 


To qualify for the role you must have 

  • A keen desire to learn, preferably with experience in a professional services environment
  • Have an understanding of account management with proven project management skills 
  • Ability to multitask and deal with a wide and varied workload and during key busy periods, be able to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of work
  • Numeracy skills and the ability to learn and understand calculation of financial measures
  • Good communication skills interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good skills in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to anticipate team / client requirements

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience of tracking actual costs against budget on a project and an understanding of financial measures
  • Experience of reporting directly to senior stakeholders on a project
