We are very excited to announce that we are offering our first level 6 Apprenticeship in Therapeutic Radiography here at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS trust. Once qualified as a therapeutic radiographer you will be part of a multidisciplinary team treating patients with cancer using radiation.
Are you looking for a new challenge, to develop your career in the NHS and want to earn while you learn or have you just completed A Levels but are not looking to go to university for a full time self-funded course? If the answer is yes, then we are keen to hear from you.
The apprenticeship will run over 3 years and 3 months, comprising of: -

On the job training based within the radiotherapy department housed in the Oncology Centre at Worcestershire Royal Hospital (aiming to start Dec 2022 to enable integration into the department and on boarding onto the University course).

Off the job training (minimum 20% of time) - following an integrated timetable with Sheffield Hallam University. The University course commences in March 2023; attendance will be mostly through distance learning although you will be expected to attend a few days on site at the University.

Completion of a BSc (Hons) degree in Therapeutic Radiography, approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
The post is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (this includes study time).
Applicants must be able to evidence Maths and English GCSE grade C/4 or above or functional skills for both at level 2 and evidence of study at level 3 or above (please see personal specification for full details of entry requirements for the University).
