We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of: Technical Business Analyst

A high level overview of the role is: Responsible for the development and production of strategic KPI’s Markets (FX; Global Debt, Equities & Securities Financing) and Securities Services (Global Custody, Funds Admin, GD&TA, Securities Lending) asset classes. Using SQL, VBA and Excel, other relational databases in order to transform data and create the desired output. The role holder will ensure the HSBC values are present in everything they do, both individually and as an organisation. The role has a hybrid working pattern allowing for home based and office based working at HSBC offices at 8 Canada Square, London.

In this role you will

  • Create the asset class logic for strategic KPI’s required for senior management.
  • Source data from various post trade applications and potentially non systemic sources to ensure completeness of the reporting.
  • Clearly articulate progress to senior management and asset class stakeholders
  • Be an asset class(es) lead for the Business Insights Team
  • Work with IT teams to ensure data feeds are thoroughly tested working as expected.
  • Work with visualization teams to ensure the MI output is as expected
  • To be fully aware of the controls framework, and take a pro-active approach to reduce Operational risk
  • Liaise with the Global Business Insights management team
Requirements

To be successful, you should meet the following requirements

  • Due to the techinal natuire of the role Advanced Microsoft Excel, VBA, SQL Server technical skills is essential
  • Very good stakeholder management skills including communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Possess excellent  organisational skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines with attention to detail
  • Highly anaylicitcal
  •  Can work as part of a teram but not afrias to use you initiative as a self starter
