An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced assistant respiratory physiologist to join our friendly team at the Royal Hospital for children in Glasgow. We provide respiratory and sleep physiology services to patients referred from a wide range of specialities from all over the country. Your main roles will be to co-ordinate and implement the running of the home pulse oximetry sleep study service. Perform basic respiratory or sleep investigations within the department. Perform sterilisation of equipment, clerical and administrative duties (E.g. Making appointments, answering phone, maintaining the daily database). The post holder must be flexible in their working hours as they will be required to work a variety of shifts which include rotational day, back shift & night shifts to meet service needs. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 standard grades at credit level or 5 national 5’s (preferably maths and science). They must have prior experience working in a patient facing clinical role and have excellent IT and communication skills. You will require to be a good team worker, have some experience of working with children and have patient care at the heart of what you do. The shift pattern is; Rotational day, back and nightshift. Dayshift 8am until 4pm 30 minutes lunch, back shift 1.30pm -9.30pm 30 min break, nightshift 7.30pm – 7.30am 40 minute break
