Radiology Department Assistant Band 2 Permanent/part-time

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and hard working person to join the Radiology Department. You will be working in the CT, MRI, Ultrasound and general areas assisting the Radiographers. Your role, as part of the team will be to help provide a smooth, efficient inpatient and outpatient service, ensuring that patients are cared for in a friendly, professional and timely manner.

This is a patient focused role. You will assist both out-patients and in-patients during their time in the radiology department from transferring the patients to and from the departments, greeting them on arrival, assisting with their preparation for the examinations, and helping to provide a pleasant experience. You may be required to accompany in-patients during their wait for their examination to ensure that a safe and friendly environment is maintained.

You should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.

The Royal Surrey County Hospital is a progressive and collaborative hospital dedicated to patient care. We are a 570 bedded modern acute hospital situated in the historical city of Guildford. The Trust provides a comprehensive service, with national referrals to several of its specialities. We form one of the four cancer units which make up the Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire Cancer Network.
